Windows 10: Keyboard layout wrong name

I created a keyboard layout using Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator and gave it a name. Let it be ONE. Then I created another keyboard layout and gave it a name TWO. But it is displayed under name ONE.


I have two different keyboard layouts but they are shown under the same name ONE

I appreciate your efforts on this. I see that you are using Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator to create keyboard layouts. I would like to inform that this is an old program, which was initially designed to work on Windows XP computers.



Good to know that the program is working for you. One of the thing I would suggest you to try is to change the description of the keyboard layout that you have created and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator.
   
2. Click on File and load the keyboard layout.
   
3. Click on Project, and click on
   Properties.
   
4. Change the Description of the keyboard layout.
   
5. Click on OK.
   

If this doesn’t work, you may try rebuilding the DLL and Setup Package. After rebuilding the DLL and Setup Package go to Start >> Settings >> Time & Language >> Language >> Click on the language pack and select
options, now click on the old keyboard layout and select
Remove.

Wrong keyboard layout in login page after update to 1607

Hi,

Since the issue reoccurred after updating to anniversary update, I suggest you to reconfigure the QWERTY keyboard layout and check if the same issue persists. This is to check if the issue is with Windows 10 1607 update.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to configure the keyboard layout:

• Open Settings and click on Time and Language.
• Click on Region and Language.
• Add the Country and click on add a language and select the language of your choice.
• This will take time to download the pack.
• Once this is done, Press Windows key + Space and press Space key to choose the keyboard layout.

Keyboard layout made with MSKLC showing wrong name.

First I made a keyboard layout with Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator and named it 'Ador' then I install that. After installed, this show as Ador, nothing problem. But after that I create another keyboard layout with different name and install it. But
that also so as 'Ador' Now I have two. I try many ways but I cannot change the name of new keyboard layout. How can i fix that?
