Keyboard lights

1. Did you mean the keyboard backlight or indicator lights (i.e. Num Lock)?
2. If your problem is about indicator lights, are you using a external keyboard?

--KEYBOARD BACKLIGHT--

Consult your laptop's manual downloaded from the internet. You might want to install some drivers in order to use the backlight.

--INDICATOR LIGHT--

1. LAPTOP KEYBOARD
   • If indicator light, try pressing the Caps Lock key and see if the caps lock light turned on. Same process for Scroll and Num lock.
   • Some laptops may show the "Caps Lock ON" in your laptop screen.
2. EXTERNAL KEYBOARD (EITHER USB OR BLUETOOTH)
   • When you use the external keyboard, locate the "Caps Lock" key indicator light. Try pressing the "Caps Lock" and make sure if it is turned on. Same process for Scroll and Num Lock.

If these are not working, try installing or updating the drivers. You'll need to restart after installing.

 

Light on Touchpad stays on

• When you say, “The white light on my touchpad” which light are you referring to?
  
• What is the exact model number of your computer?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made on the computer recently?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to refer the steps in the article
How to turn the backlight on and off and check if the Illumination setting is available for Touchpad in the console.

Numbers lock/Scroll light won't go off after Windows 10 upgrade

After upgrading to win 10 from win 7 and updating the graphics driver the light on my num lk/scroll key stays on even when I toggle the key. This is strange since I don't have a numeric keypad on this HP laptop. I'd like to shut the light. I followed
a suggestion at htg to turn on num lock on at login: Edited the registry for control panel/keyboard/initial setting for current user, default user and three others. Changed the value from 2 (on) to 0 (off). on reboot current user reverted to 2(on) and the
light stays on.

Any suggestions?
