Windows 10: keyboard / mouse not working

Hi - I have messed up the keyboard and mouse drivers on my Windows 10 installation, so now when I boot up I have no input possibilities. What are my options?
I don't have a "recovery" disk - but I do have a Windows 10 install USB.
I don't have any restore points.
I have tried restarting many times - with and without the keyboard and mouse attached.
How can I "reset" the input drivers?

Since the Mouse and Keyboard are not working does anyone have a solution that does not require the mouse and/or keyboard? Every solution I've seen on the web require the mouse or keyboard.

I'm not sure how to fix an issue that's preventing the mouse and Keyboard from working if the solutions require the mouse and keyboard to work in the first place?

Go to a working computer, download, create a bootable copy, then perform a clean install.

I found a way to solve this issue, by disconnecting my keyboard and mouse, and connecting a different keyboard and mouse. This seems to have caused Windows to try to find the correct the drivers, and overwrite the incorrect ones I had installed. (Simply moving my old keyboard and mouse to different USB ports did not help).

 

You said after using a different keyboard and mouse, the issue is solved.

Does that mean you can now use your old set of keyboard and mouse and there is no problem anymore ?

 

Yes, the new keyboard and mouse caused Windows to find and install new drivers so they worked; and then afterwards, the old keyboard and mouse also worked again when I plugged them in.

 

Such a novel way to solve the problem.

I have the same concern but even if I change my mouse and my keyboard, Nothing happens...
