Windows 10: Keyboard not typing certain letters and shift lock going crazy

I dont know what happened, but all of a sudden I noticed that my Z key on my asus laptop would not work unless another key was being pressed down. Then I noticed it was the same for the R, I and U keys as well as the right arrow key. Then when I pressed shift lock on accident it started typing an incredibly long string of these letters and then after a while starts fiddling witht the left and right arrow keys. Ive already tried resetting my laptop and uninstalling all keyboard devices from my laptop and restarting and disabling sticky keys but nothing is working. What should I do?

Shift not woking with individual letters

Hello, i am having some issues with my keyboard. when i try to capitalise certain letters by holding shift nothing happens. while i can capitalise certain letters whileholding shift eg S or H some such as u or i nothing happens when i hold the shift key
and that letter. As i said earlier the shift key is working with some letter and i can type these letters in lower case when i don't hold the shift key.

i have looked online for a solution and i have tried.

- checking to see if sticky keys was on (it was not)

- updating the keyboard drivers

- reinstalling the keyboard via device manager

- updating windows

- troubleshooting the keyboard via settings

and none of these have worked. Please help.

 

Wireless Keyboard won't always shift capital letters


Hello. I am new here.

I had just bought a dell all-in-one computer with Windows 10 pre-installed. The computer is functioning properly. I also had a wireless Logitech wave keyboard and use it instead of the default keyboard that comes with the dell computer.

However, I am experiencing an annoyance that I can not press shift + F to get a capital letter F. I have to either CAPS LOCK or press the malfunctioning button and shift at the same time and then let go of the shift button to get a capital letter. I I am also getting the same problem with the letters D, J, C, and the plus sign. I can press shift and most of the other keyboard letters just fine. What it is going on? Is my Logitech keyboard defective? The keyboard was working fine with my older dell computer. *Huh

Shift keys seem to be malfunctioning - I cannot capitalise certain letters or type any punctuation that requires the shift key.

Hello, it seems my keyboard isn't working properly. When I press the left shift key, I can only capitalise certain letters and others I cannot. This is the same for the right shift key, but the letters I can and cannot capitalise are different. Also,
neither of the shift keys can type punctuation such as exclamation marks, question marks and brackets.
