Hi,I have a Windows 11 with a dual boot of Linux Ubuntu 22.04. I have had the dual boot for quite some time now over two years but rarely switch to Linux unless necessary. I recently switched to Linux from the boot menu and noticed my keyboard wasn't responding. I promptly switched to the Windows OS, and the same problem manifested. I can open and use the onscreen keyboard and connect to an external keyboard. I also noticed functions that are below the OS level, like changing the brightness, light settings, or any other functions related to the top keys, are still working but not the volu

Keyboard not working during boot

Hi all,

I have windows 7 installed on a ssd, and the boot time is quick! however Im wondering if its too quick, as the lights on the keyboard dont come on until im into windows, so I cant access the bios, I bought a cheap keyboard to make sure my ms sidewinder x4 wasnt broke.

Any suggestions?

keyboard doesnt work on boot

I had problems with my keyboard (USB) on boot. Fixed buy unplugging all USB devices (except the keyboard) reboots, plugging them all back in, and it worked.
