Windows 10: Keyboard not working properly on Windows 10

Suddenly laptop's keyboard started behaving weirdly, the top line of alphabets (q,w,e,r,t etc) is not working properly. Sometimes I have to press key many times to print a character , and sometimes I press it once and it prints letter 2 or 3 times, and shift + those buttons does not work some time. Please guide me is it hardware problem or software's fault

P.S: using Lenovo ideapad 300-15ISK windows 10

I am windows, 10 Professionals. But after updating my windows there is big problem occuring in my system.

Hi Neeraj, that is a UK English Keyboard, if you use a US Keyboard, please check these settings:

Open Control Panel - Language

On the right hand side of your current language, click Options

If US English is not listed, click 'Add an Input Method'

Add US English and set it as default

Remove any other languages you do not need or use

There is a very long LENOVO thread on this issue with a Lenovo 700 - 15ISK laptop. It looks to be a fundamental problem with the laptop.

One tip from the thread - try using with the battery removed - this seemed to eliminate the problem for many people. If it does not change anything for you, then you may have a different problem. If it is the same, then it is likely that a BIOS update will be required.
