Windows 10: Keyboard Not working

i'll just get straight to it. My laptop's keyboard stops working whenever i enter full screen mode, and note that this only happens when its on battery power, not when its to AC power.so i think the problem is that windows turn off the keyboard to save power option or something, but i cant see power management or anything to fix that.


i have a lenovo laptop with inbuilt battery and hence dont know how to disconnect it to fix the problem. Also, the drivers are working fine, its the power management that causing it. this happens whenever i do something like watching a video or playing a game at full screen.


Also note that it works fine when i read a pdf in full screen and all, which definetely points out that the battery usage is switch it off, though the keyboard light like the one on caps lock - works/ sometimes doesn't work -.also this only happens after i open it after sleep, never before. All of this i feel like points out to the battery usage only.


so how do i fix the battery management option for the keyboard that there is on device manager which says that "power management" and unchecking the box where it allows to turn off to save power, because i don't see that in keyboards.

Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

  Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)
  
• 
  And check if it works
  

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

We would suggest you to update your keyboard driver. To update your keyboard driver, follow the steps below:

• Click the Start button, type "device manager" in the search box, and then select Device Manager.
• In the list of hardware categories, look for Keyboards and then double-click it.
• Click on the Keyboard tab and choose Update Driver, and then follow the instructions.
