Windows 10: Keyboard not working

I have hp envy laptop with touchscreen. I never used the touchscreen keyboard until i had problems with keyboard on the laptop couple hours ago. Some of the Keys werent working at all, some would type numbers or incorrect letters or type commas after each letter. I tried adding and changing languages, and restoring system. Now, the laptop keyboard including function keys and the mouse doesnt work at all. When i go into control panel under keyboard- typing the only option listed is for touchscreen. Not sure if i somehow manged to disengage the main keyboard and mouse. Please help!

Skyfire stopped supporting all windows 6.5 phones so why is it still on markeplace and is Microsoft going to stand up for us now that all they care about is android and Iphone

 

Re mouse. Is this an external mouse or are we talking touchpad. If you have a separate receiver on pc unplug it. Wait 20 seconds. Plug back in. On mouse, check batteries haven't moved and are working, reseat them. There is usually a sliding power switch, slide to off, wait 5 secs, slide to on.

Could I suggest, and yes it a long shot, unplugging device from wall, power down, remove battery and depress power on for 25 Secs. Replace all and start.

If that doesn't work uninstall keyboard in device manager, assuming mouse gets it game, and power down. Restart and let windows detect.

Check in notification area that you don't have tablet mode turned on.

If none of the above cleared you could be looking at dead keyboard, a loose cable, another issue on MB. Not everyone is into this but you might try disassembling laptop and reseat keyboard connections. You may need special tools to disassemble and there very well could be a lot of pieces by the time you have it apart. Look for a video on how to disassemble your model. If you decide to go this route watch static, its a killer of sensitive electronics. You can usually find replacement keyboards on e-bay or amazon.
