Windows 10: Keyboard numbers do not work at Windows 10 login

After I did an update for iTunes the letters stopped working on my usb keyboard at the Windows 10 login. I have a Dell desktop. Also, the letters do not work on the on screen keyboard. The filter keys are off, I restarted several times. Still it does not work. I tried a different usb keyboard and that did not work. I changed the usb port and that did not work. The numbers on the keyboard do work and the mouse works. I shut down the computer, unplugged it and pressed the start button for a while and left everything set for a while. There are no other peripherals connected. When I started it i still had the problem. I am unable to get into Windows 10 so I cannot get to the control panel and do diagnostics, as other posts suggest. The same thing happened on my wifes Toshiba laptop after the iTunes update, but I did get it to work after a few restarts. Has this happened to anyon else and is there a solution?

Windows 10 Login not working

To assist you better, please provide us the below information:

• Have you tried to checked the issues different keyboard?
• Are you trying to login as Microsoft Account or Local Account?
• Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to understand if the issue is related to keyboard or not.

1. Click on Ease of Access icon which is present at the bottom corner of the screen.

2. Then select On-Screen Keyboard.

3. Enter the password and check if you are able to login to the computer.
