Windows 10: Keyboard problem on Windows 11 laptop

HiOver the last 24 h something funny happened to my Windows 11 keyboard. If I am not typing for 5 - 10 s e.g. when watching movie on youtube, in order for keyboard to work, I have to press the first key 2-3 times. After that keyboard works fine. Same happens if I open a new application e.g. word or wordpad or google chrome window. If I want to type anything , anywhere I have to press the first key 2-3 times before keyboard starts to work normal.e.g. If I want to write "england" in a freshly opened word window, I have to press "e" button two - three times before "e" appears on the screen. Windows 11 laptop keyboard gone psycho

Hi! I need help. My laptop keyboard types on its own. So far, I’ve tried these troubleshooting steps with no success:

• Restart PC
  
• Ran keyboard troubleshooter
  
• Uninstall keyboard
  
• Scan for corrupt files
  
• Reinstall windows
  

Nothing seems to help matters at all. Help!

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.

Here are the first two steps you need to take:

• Try a different keyboard (or an external USB keyboard in case of a laptop)
• See if the problem persists with the on-screen keyboard (osk.exe)
