Windows 10: keyboard problem

Hello everybody, I'm using windows 10 on Dell inspiron 7558 laptop. a couple days ago my "P" button on my keyboard started to press by itself, i tried to remove the button to check the under side for dust or anything external that caused to continuesly key press, i couldn't find anything and now the "P" button is not working and for that I remapped my keyboard and changed the "Insert" key to work as "P", but anytime I restart the windows, in the login page P is still being typed by itself untill I press the Fn key to stop it, and here and there randomly that auto p typing still occures. things I've done to figure this problem out are included in:


1.uninstall/reinstall the keyboard

2.running keyboard troubleshoot

3.removing the battery for couple days

4.fully scan the laptop for virus or malwares

5.updating to the latest of windows 10


and so far no success. the "P" button is still not working and the random "P" typing is stille there.

Keyboard problem in Windows 10

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.

Keyboard letters problem

Here are the first two steps you need to take:

• Try a different keyboard (or an external USB keyboard in case of a laptop)
• See if the problem persists with the on-screen keyboard (osk.exe)

 

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
