Windows 10: Keyboard shift key

I have a problem. I originally installed Black Desert Online and afterwards I was unable to use my shift key with the numbers 1-4 and 7-0. It worked with all other keys except for these and thats a problem since I need the at symbol. I uninstalled the game and found out I had to remove a file to get it working again. I fixed it. Now, I just installed the game Aion and now I am having the exact same issue. I can no longer use the symbols over the 1-4 and 7-0. Its funny because the shift works with the tilde key, 5 and 6 and the minus and equals buttons and all the letter keys. Oh and it doesnt work with the letter c either. can anyone help me please?

Both shift keys

I have problem with Lenovo Idea Pad 100 laptop (OS: WIN10). After replacing HDD into SSD I faced a strange problem. Both Shifts of the keyboard doesn‘t work .
I have tried to:

• Check if sticky keys are off. They are off.
• Connect external keyboard via USB port. Shift keys on external keyboard works good.
• Check the keyboard on online tester which indicates pressed buttons. It can‘t indicate press of the shift
• Change several different input languages. The problem is on all of them.
• Reinstall keyboard driver
• Check if connection is OK. It is OK.
• Tried to run computer without screws (I have read in one forum that screws could touch the keyboard from the bottom and it wouldn‘t operate normal)

I believe that keyboard is not damaged because connector damage could cause just exact part of keyboard failure, while it is impossible to do physical damage for both shifts. Any solutions?

Try the below methods and check if that helps:

Method 1: Run the SFC.

Follow the below steps:

• Open Command Prompt and select “Run as Administrator”.
• Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit
  Enter.

Now check for the issue.

Method 2: Let us try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and check if it helps.

Step 1: Uninstall the keyboard driver from Device Manager.

Follow the steps to uninstall the Graphics card driver:

a. Press Windows Key + X and then click Device Manger.

b. Search for Keyboard Driver.

c. Right click the Keyboard and click uninstall.

d. Follow the prompt and restart the computer.

Step 2: You can download and install the keyboard drivers from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.

keyboard shift + key issues

hi,

after recent update shift + keys to type hash, at the rate, exclamation, dollar symbol not working.

tried resolving the issue by updating keyboard drivers; latest updated now, troubleshooting from settings, deselecting sticky keys option; still the trouble persists.

please help with suggestion
