Windows 10: Keyboard shortcuts: Like Alt+V, D for Details view. Is it gone forever?

This is something I use all the time, switching between Details and List view. I'd really like to do this in a veritable millisecond like I used to be able to in Win7. And did they get rid of more of them in Win11?

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

Win10: What's up with Folder keyboard shortcuts? Why did they have to ruin it?

Before you could do a combination of keys to get where you want very fast. Like Alt+V+D was Details View. Alt+V+L was List View. In the time it took me to reach part way to the mouse I would have done the shortcut AND not be away from the keyboard. Mice waste so much time compared to keyboard shortcuts.

Anyway, now Alt+V brings up the View menu but you can't do anything else pretty much without the mouse. Or I'm doing it all wrong. What kind of mentally deranged person could have possibly dreamed this up? And what kind of manager could have OK'd this?



What is good is when you press Alt the letter for that field is highlighted but why not let us use the keyboard shortcuts since they aren't being used for anything? Highlighting a field is great, no question Great idea. But why take away what was there before, that was efficient? That so many of us knew and used all the time? Maybe someone here has some answers.

I read it's Ctrl + Shift + 6, but it doesn't seem to work.
