Windows 10: Keyboard stopped working and driver missing after WIndows 10 version 1909 updates

I havent used my ACER ASPIRE laptop for a while and had a lot of updates, even updated from version 1903 to 1909. After updates were completed my keyboard does not work at all and the driver is missing from the device manager . Keyboard was working fine before the updates .

Please help.

Have you tried updating
your mouse and keyboard driver? If not, we suggest you to do so. There is a possibility that the driver is not compatible with the new Windows 10 update. However, one
of the workarounds that we suggest for your mouse and keyboard to work is to update the driver. If the symptom persist, you can run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter. To run the Troubleshooter, follow these steps:

  On your search bar, type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Change the view to
  View all.
  
• 
  Choose
  Hardware and Devices
  and run the troubleshooter.

Keyboard/audio stopped working after intel/samsung update from windows updates

From my experiences, W7 updates went down the hill after Windows 10 release. Recently i had to reinstall Windows on Acer laptop. Installed OS, drivers - all good, ran Windows Update - system won't boot.

In order for us to resolve your concern, you can check the steps in
System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.

You may also follow these steps to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver:

• Go to Device Manager (type DEVMGMT.MSC in the Run command box and press
  Enter).
• Uninstall the Keyboard driver on the Keyboard tree.
• After that, restart your computer.
• Let Windows 10 to install the keyboard drivers on it's own.
