Windows 10: Keyboard suddenly stops working, however DOES work in certain programs, such as my browser!

Hello, Microsoft community!Does anyone know what is happening and how I can fix this problem? Problem: though my keyboard works when I am typing this, it does not register I am typing when for example, trying to use the search tool provided by the computer Not the browser I am using, nor does it register when trying to move or type in a game I have downloaded on my computer. I'm stumped! I've already tried updating my computer is up to date as of today, tried updating the keyboard in the devices, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboards... I've also tried to use commands in the Wi

Please answer these questions to get more clarity on this issue:

  Did you make any changes to the pc prior to this issue?

  Have you installed all pending updates on the pc?

  Have you performed a full pc virus scan on the system recently?
  

Suggest you to launch the on-screen keyboard to check if the issue persists.

Follow these steps to launch the On-screen keyboard:

• 
  Press “Windows key + R” to get the run window.
  
• 
  Type “osk” and hit enter to launch the On-screen keyboard and check if this helps.
  

Also suggest you to install any pending Windows updates on the pc to check if that helps.
Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

Further, you may also boot the computer in a clean boot state and check if the issue persists. When you start Microsoft Windows, typically there are several programs that start automatically and run in the background that may interfere with the system.
These programs may include antivirus and system utility programs. When you perform a clean startup procedure, you prevent these programs from starting automatically.

Keyboard stops working

Three or four times a day the keyboard stops working for about 5 minutes. I can't enter text or use any of the keys. I can't open Task Manager with ctrl-alt-delete to investigate. The mouse still works. I can use it to close or open programs, shutdown etc.
Does anyone have a suggestion on what may cause this or can recommend how I can track down the culprit?

I see a others postings like this. All of a sudden my keyboard stops inputting. It doesn't happen enough to blame a certain app or sequence. The device manager showing the keyboard as working. I have to reboot to correct the issue.
