Windows 10: Keyboard typing settingṣ

As you can see from my headline. The punctuation seems to arbitrarily appear under the last letter of the sentence. I am noticing it is only with certain letterṣ I cannot figure out how the heck this could have happeneḍ I have reset this computer 15 times in the last week. I have changed the keyboard settings 10 times this week. I cannot figure it ouṭ reading this message is a perfect example. I am typing just like I would an essay for the Masters program I am in and this is how the paragraphs look. WTH?It is VERY difficult to write a research paper when this is what the end result lo

How do I change the default keyboard from handwriting to typing on Windows 10

• Have you enabled the tablet mode settings on Windows 10?

Step 1: Turn off on screen keyboard

• Open Start menu, type Settings in search bar and click on Settings.
• Click on Ease of access and select keyboard.
• Turn off the on screen keyboard.

Step 2: Turn off tablet mode

I suggest you to turn off tablet mode, as it may also be the cause for the issue.

• Open Start menu, type tablet mode settings in search bar and click on it.
• Turn off the tablet mode option and check if it helps.

My keyboard is set to US English QWERTY but does not type in qwerty.

As a work around, I suggest you to perform Clean boot
by following the steps from the link below and check if the issue is resolved.



Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.



You can open the system configuration window in Windows 10:



Step 1: Using
run command.

• 
  Press Windows Key + R keys on the Keyboard.
  
• 
  Type msconfig.msc and press
  Enter.
  

Step 2: Using
Cortana.

• 
  Press Windows icon key on the keyboard and type
  msconfig.
  
• 
  Select the top most search result.
