Windows 10: Keyboard unresponsive and responsive loop on synaptics mouse driver and then cant 2 finger...

My keyboard stops for a few seconds and then works, it does this every 2 seconds the same problem occurs on the on screen keyboard and ive already uninstalled the driver, restarted, and did a factory reset and this is seriously frustrating. This started when I switched my mouse driver to a synaptics SMBus touchpad and the keyboard stopped, worked, and repeated this but when I switched the driver to the only other driver, a PS/2 driver the keyboard works fine but now i cant 2 finger scroll. I have a HP Elitebook 840 G4 and i need this fixed. Also additionally, the HID compliant mouse is connect

I can't scroll with 2 fingers, I've tried the solution below but the tab in step 4 of both methods doesn't exist, i also tried installing synaptics but just keep getting a message popup saying no need to install synaptics pointing device driver

Method 1: Change the Mouse Pointer

1. Click Start menu
   
2. Click Settings
   
3. Click on Mouse & touchpad
   
4. Click on Additinal mouse options
   
5. Click on the Pointers tab
   
6. Under the Scheme, choose from Windows Black/Default/Inverted/Standard

Method 2: Enable Two Finger Scrolling

1. Open Control Panel.
   
2. View by Category and select click on Hardware and Sound.
   
3. Under Devices and Printers, click Mouse.
   
4. Under Devices, click Device Settings tab. Highlight Synaptics TouchPad and click on Settings button. (This applies when the touchpad driver is installed.)
   
5. Expand MultiFinger Gestures, and check the box next to Two-Finger Scrolling.
   
6. Click Apply button.

Synaptics touchpad V1.2 - no option for one-finger scrolling?

I recently bought a Lenovo Y700 running W10. I am trying to get it set up the way I like and cannot find an option to use one-finger scrolling with my touchpad (two-finger scrolling is an option and works just fine).

I am updated to driver 19.0.19.1, but for some reason when I go to Mouse Properties it lists the driver version as 19.0.17.26. I'm not sure if this is related. Here are some screen caps of the driver discrepancy as well as the UI for the mouse, which has no option for one-finger scrolling. How do I enable this?
