Windows 10: keyboard will not stop pressing k, even after uninstalling driver and reinstalling windows

the keyboard will not stop spamming k. i’ve reinstalled windows and uninstalled the laptop keyboard driver. what should i do? i just want to use my external keyboard.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Keyboard drivers and check if it works:

Follow the steps to uninstall the keyboard drivers:

• Press Windows Key + X key.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Right-click on the Keyboard drivers listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
• Select the option to Delete driver software.
• Restart the computer after its uninstalled.

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. I understand the inconvenience you are facing. I will certainly help you with this.

This issue may be caused by automatic update of the Wireless Keyboard drivers every time done when PC restarts. When PC try auto update, it changes the settings that are saved.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Keyboard drivers and check if issue is resolved. Kindly follow the below given steps.

• Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
• In the list of devices, you should see the Keyboard drivers.
• Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
• In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
• In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes”
  option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

Uninstall and reinstall the Keyboard driver from manufacturer’s website.

Follow these steps to Uninstall Keyboard driver.

• 
  Press Windows key + X to select Device Manager.
  
• 
  Search for Keyboard driver and expand it.
  
• 
  Right click on the Keyboard driver and select Uninstall.
  
• 
  Follow the onscreen directions to complete the process and restart the computer.
  

Further, I suggest you to download the latest keyboard drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
