Windows 10: Keyboards, both old and new, do not work, just dead, and nothing helped

I have Windows 10 on Dell desktop. My wireless keyboard stopped working a week ago. It just died suddenly. I changed batteries - twice, put receiver in different port ,ran a scan which said that device is working properly while it was completely dead. Checked for driver updates and it said that the best drivers already installed. The mouse works fine, and it is on the same receiver. Uninstalled and reinstalled device. Rebooted computer. Nothing helped. Since nothing helped I thought that maybe something happened to keyboard itself and ordered a new keyboard the same day. Today it arrived and i

You need to take this one step at a time. It is a waste of time to go further until you find out why your keyboard is not working. Can you borrow or obtain another keyboard preferably a USB wired one to find out if your keyboard is the problem or not. If another keyboard does not solve the problem the problem lies elsewhere. Remember one step at a time.

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:
