Windows 10: Keyborad typing Issue

Hello, some of the key on my laptops do not type properly and a few do not type at all.

When I type number 5 and 6, I get nothing at all.

Wen I type 0, 9, or 7, I get this number for all those key pads 097.


The problem is also with the letters, when I type a single letter, I either get that same letter with other letters, or get it with samples. Sometimes, capital letter, too.


Example:

when I type y, I get {Y

When I type o, I get pou

When I j, I get ;lj

When I type m, I get >M


Some of the letters work just fine. Especially, on the left side of my keyboard. The right side seems to have most of those issues.


Anybody familiar with this issues and know how to fix it?

Issues with accessing keyborad keys after installing Anniversary Update

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Is this issue confined to any specific application/ program on your computer?
• Have you tried using different keyboard and check if the issue persists?

Let us try the below troubleshooting steps to check if the issue persists with keyboard.

Step 1: I suggest you to run
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter as it checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the
  Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Step 2: Update the driver.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboard.
• Right click
  on the Keyboard driver and click on
  Update driver software

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Issue with typing using keyboard

Method 1:

I would suggest you to connect an external keyboard and check if the issue persists or not.

Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to download and install all available Windows Updates and devices drivers from the computer manufacturer website.

Method 3:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to download and install latest keyboard driver from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.
