Windows 10: Keys on Thinkbook 14 Gen 4 Releasing While Held and Not Responding Consistently

I'm currently experiencing an issue where a specific set of keys on my Thinkbook 14's keyboard are not responding to inputs consistently. I used an online keyboard tester and discovered that the keys are sometimes being released while I'm still holding the key, and changing the pressure I apply to the key appears to have no impact. The keys impacted by this are Q, W, E, R, U, I, O, P. What's odd about this is that the only keys affected are all on the same row of the keyboard and are all right next to each other with the exception of T and Y which are the only letter keys on that row which do

Lenovo expands ThinkBook portfolio

Lenovo has expanded its ThinkBook portfolio with a new generation of laptops powered by Intel or AMD, built for a work-from-anywhere world. They have a dual-tone top cover and ultra-narrow display bezels built for immersive viewing experiences.

ThinkBook 13 Gen 2 i

Co-engineered with Intel, the ThinkBook 13 Gen 2 i with optional WQXGA display has been tested, tuned and verified to meet the requirements of the Intel Evo platform across hardware specifications and key experience targets for device responsiveness, instant wake, battery life and fast charge [1]. You’ll find virtual meetings enhanced with microphones that can switch between three different audio modes: private, shared and environmental sound. It is expected to be available starting at $829 in October.

Lenovo ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 i

The ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 i delivers speed and productivity with 11th Gen Intel Core processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics, Thunderbolt 4, long battery life and flexible storage options. It’s also available with optional integrated wireless earbuds that can be stored within the laptop. These earbuds charge automatically when stored and instantly connect to the laptop audio when taken out, and are equipped with dual mics and environmental noise cancellation. Muting or unmuting yourself during calls is as easy as a double tap on the earbuds. This laptop is expected to be available starting at $569 in October.

Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga i

The ThinkBook 14s Yoga i is the first 2-in-1 ThinkBook, with the power of 11th Gen Intel Core processors. When logged into Windows 10, Windows Ink shortcuts are ready the moment you pick up the Smart Pen, which syncs with your device. Pull out the Pen in modern standby mode and the note-taking app opens automatically. It is expected to be available starting at $879 in November.

Lenovo also debuted a new ThinkVision T27hv-20 USB-C Hub monitor. The 27-inch display features a 1080p IR/RGB webcam, noise cancelling microphones and integrated speakers that help users conference with confidence. Smart Guard blurs the screen the moment you look or move away or when it detects someone peeking over your shoulder. Smart Energy will turn off the screen when it senses that you have moved away from your desk, saving power and protecting data. It is expected to start at $549 in December.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano

Lenovo also unveiled the latest addition to its premium X1 portfolio, the ThinkPad X1 Nano. The lightest ThinkPad ever [2] at just 1.99 pounds, it breaks new ground for performance and functionality in a featherweight package. This is Lenovo’s first ThinkPad based on Intel Evo platform [3] and powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors. It can deliver faster content creation, more than 20% faster office productivity [4] and faster gaming plus streaming in real-world workflows.

The X1 Nano is the first ThinkPad to feature an updated suite of AI and biometric ThinkShield security features. It is expected to be available in fourth quarter 2020, starting at $1,399.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold

Five years in the making, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is available to order. Blending familiar functionality from smartphones, tablets and laptops into a single foldable PC device, it is a good option to adapt to a variety of work environments. ThinkPad X1 Fold with Windows 10 is available to order now with prices starting at $2,499.
