Windows 10: Keys start repeating but only after a brief pause in typing

My laptop is an ASUS flow X13 and has had this problem on and off. when it is occurring, if I press any key after I haven't been typing for a minute or longer, the key sticks and repeats iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii until I click or press something else, after which the keyboard functions normally again until I stop typing for a minute. Not sure what this is a symptom of. I don't think its hardware as I have tried compressed air, and it doesn't occur with the on screen keyboard either.Thanks in advance.

• In the left navigation pane, click on Power & Sleep.
• In the right pane, select Never from the drop down list for
  Screen and Sleep.
• Close the Settings windows and check for status.

  When you say ‘’ If I pause for a few minutes window 10 resets to sign in’’ do you mean the system goes to sleep mode when you pause?

Holding down a key will type it out only once, pausing for a moment, and then beginning to repeat.

Hello all, I recently realized this problem where holding down a key only inputs it once, before pausing for a full second, then beginning to repeat it, rather than repeating it immediately after holding it down. Is there any way to fix this? It doesn't seem to be sticky, slow, or filter keys, as I have all of those turned off.
