Windows 10: Kindle.exe will not access ANY of library using the app on Windows 10. How to fix?

Hello, I am trying to use the Kindle app on my WIndows 10 laptop. It worked fine for years and now it will not work and appears to be blocked from accessing the internet. I tried changing the proxy settings. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I have tried changing the firewall settings to add the app to those allowed to get through the firewall, but the path is not accepted.Please help me figure out how to get the Kindle.exe app to work properly so I can read books on my laptop again!Thank you,Ann

Kindle App and Windows 10

• Is this issue confined only with kindle app?
• Are you able to read the notebooks in other apps?

If this issue is only with kindle app then I suggest you to contact the kindle support for further assistance.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Acessing KINDLE collections on Windows 10

• Are you able to read the notebooks in other apps?

You can download the kindle app using Windows store and install it to check if you are able to access the collection. If issue persist with Kindle app, I suggest you to contact the kindle support for further assistance.
