Windows 10: Kindle Library

I just bought a new laptop with windows 10, one of main things i use my laptop for is to read my books, now i find out that i cannot download the kindle app from the microsoft store,

I had no problems on my old laptop running windows 7 will there be an kindle in the future, i have hundreds of books that i cannot read on my laptop.

What do i do now? HELP

• Is this issue confined only with kindle app?
• Are you able to read the notebooks in other apps?

If this issue is only with kindle app then I suggest you to contact the kindle support for further assistance.

Kindle for PC App unable to register my device

With the new Windows 10 update, I have not been able to register my laptop computer as a device to sync my amazon library. After speaking with tech support with Kindle for over an hour, they weren't able to help me find a solution other than telling me that
"there is a problem with the https." And they suggested that I contact Microsoft. I have added the Kindle for PC app to my exemptions list for Windows Firewall, but still no progress. Any more suggestions?

Also, I've called Windows' support, but the wait time on the phone was over an hour and a half...

this question is not W10 specific, it does have to do with digital devices and internet communication.

i have a basic kindle e-reader that needs to be replace.
I know nothing about "tablets"; i do all my work on a W10 PC.
Q; what can i do on a tablet that i can not do on a Kindle Fire....
Your suggestions are appreciated.
