  2. 3D Builder for Windows10

    Dan,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Sorry for the issue you are having. The new version of 3D Scan requires that you update your Kinect driver. This generally happens automatically, but it may not have happened on your computer yet, so your app doesn't work.

For starters go to your Device Manager and update the driver for your Kinect Sensor (more detail in a blog post

    here
). After it is updated reboot your machine. Once you have rebooted run the Camera app to verify the Kinect works as a camera on your system.

If it works the scan app should be functional again.

Please let us know if this fixes the issue.

    Thanks!

Messaging app Windows 10 and attachments

I think this is now obsolete, since with today's anniversary update, the messaging portion of Skype has been removed from the Messaging app on W10 and now is part of Skype Preview UWP app. This thread is now moot.

The messaging integration was confusing (with users having to switch between Skype Video, Skype app and Messaging app) and I'm glad they went back to a single dedicated app.

The UWP app does not have the issue with attachments anymore. Please upgrade to the Anniversary Update, get the Skype Preview UWP app and you will be good to go. That's what I did. Happy.
