Windows 10: [KINGSTON DTSE9 16GB] Files inaccessible

For some reason today, all of the files became inaccessible inside of my flash drivethey were there a few hours ago when i plugged them into another pc, however now that ive plugged it into my personal pc the usual shortcut inside of the usb drive that leads to the files contained inside of it is missing, i have no idea what directory it keeps those files, CMD scanning of the drive also reveals no folders, however when plugged in it still shows that the 2GB of files ARE there, just not accessible, ive tried to open it in my older windows vista laptop and it is also missing, however connecting

Hi Guys.. My Kingston DTSE9 pen drive is not working. When I plug the it.. it show in explorer as following,





and say to format it... but when I click format disk.. it gives following error..





Can someone please help me.. Thank you..

 

Kingston DTSE9 Pen Drive is not working

If the drive is bad, it's bad, but having nothing to lose, un-tick Quick Format and see what happens. And oddly enough, you might also restart the PC before trying again. Again, having nothing to lose, and being quick and easy.

I've found Windows 10 sometimes needs a restart to work out odd quirks at times.

My two cents.

Hi Udara,

Is your Kingston Data Traveller DTSE9 a 16GB flash drive or 8GB Flash drive?

Have you at anytime used it as a bootable device?

Have you partitioned it?

Please post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management. ( Plug in only your Data Traveller. Remove all other USB storage devices)

I am off to Bali tomorrow and shall return only on 08th June midnight. If you are not able to resolve the issue with the help of other experts here by then, we shall continue after 8th.
