    Hiya,


    having some bsods and freeze crashes on a fresh setup.


    When I get the BSODs I usually get the stop code "Memory management" something rather, sometimes I get a "Kmode exception" whatever.

    Latest BIOS, tried defaults and some tweaked settings based on the gear inside. I tinkered with all the gfx and memory related settings in the bios to no avail. I suspect this is a gfx driver issue but I don't know how to read windows dump files. Windows couldn't use the network card during install because a missing driver but since completing the install I have since updated win 10 until windows update was happy (took several crashes) mainly to memory (mis)management.


    I thought it was related to an old PVN nvidia gt730 but problem persists after fresh drivers, as well as removing completely.
    I've tried to install the latest intel i7-8700k gfx drivers but can't get through the installation before memory crash.

    I've done memcheck and found no problem (these are fresh out of the box ddr4s) I've tried both DIMM pairs and single sticks, bios set to "auto freq" or lowest setting, as well as setting the baseclock to the 3000mhz stated on the box.


    Now, I'm tired of spending my free time troubleshooting for three days in a row so plz help me fix this. I was really looking forward to finally getting a windows boot up and running for my partner after setting up a few temporary linux boots on old hardware while saving up for a fresh getup. (If this persists setting up wine installs of all the games they want to play might be less of a hassle lol)

    KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED MESSAGE

    I'm suddenly getting a KMODE exception not handled error when I login into Windows 10. I think a Windows 10 update happened on Friday, 8/19/16. The KMODE exception started after rebooting on 8/22/16. The event log may be helpful. If you know how I can
    export the event log to include it with this question, let me know. The event log shows updates and errors.
