Windows 10: Kmode_exception_not_handled on shutdown, Blue Screen shown

My PC crashes every time it shutdowns with the message Kmode_exception_not_handled. I checked the Minidump files with WinDbg, there were some messages that other threads suggest indicate problems with the graphic drivers. I deleted the graphic drivers from Device Manager. But, it still showed the error on shutdown, and the screen brightness is higher than normal, with or without these drivers. Previously I had to adjust the screen brightness in the Intel Control Center.I activated Driver Verifier from this guide: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/driver-verifier-tracking-do

The KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug check has a value of 0x0000001E. This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.

I suggest you to refer the link suggested by

Blue Screen on Shutdown

Hi so I was shutting down my PC for tonight when all the sudden I got a blue screen. So I ran Who Crashed on reboot and I got this error.


nt_wrong_symbols.sys KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I was able to successfully able to shutdown a second time with no issue. Oddly when I was shutting it down the first time it said it was getting my updates ready for windows and then it crashed. Which is odd since I restarted back on Tuesday when the last monthly update happened.

I did download some drivers from device manager, though mainly an Ethernet driver and a Monitor driver but that was after the Tuesday update and I didn't restart then, could that have caused it?
