Windows 10: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Hi There,


A while back, I started to get intermittent BSODs generating the DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION error win10. I had a PSU failure in August that killed my GPU replaced both, but my motherboard appeared to escape unscathed. Unsure if it could be related - just including in case it is relevant.


I went through some troubleshooting steps see below which appeared to solve DPC watchdog problem, as I didn't have any crashes for a few weeks. However, I recently experienced another crash with the KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error, so I'm not sure I really fixed the issue.


Troubleshooting performed for DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION errors:

- Applied all software updates

- Rolled back NIC drivers

- Removed NIC drivers completely and reinstalled with the most up to date version

- Ran Windows system file checker

- Ran Windows Memory Test overnight - no errors


Haven't had any issues from this error since I performed those steps. Recently had a crash with a new failure KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. It was sporadic but then I had 2 crashes within ~3 hours in one night.


I have performed the following troubleshooting for KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED:

- Updated all drivers in device manager

- Ran DISM cleanup image/restorehealth

- Ran SFC scan

Windows 10 KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED blue screen, happens daily.

The KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug check has a value of 0x0000001E. This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.

I suggest you to refer the link suggested by
