Windows 10: kmode_exception_not_handled

Intermittently hitting this error on boot up. I initially got it when I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
I got the BSOD on bootup a few times and during normal use; system would go to BSOD then would reboot to desktop fine until it finally stayed in the BSOD on every bootup.

I did a clean install of windows 7 and then updated to windows 10 with no other programs / drivers etc on the machine.
However, I still get the BSOD with the same error: kmode_exception_not_handled.

On searching the internet, I suspect it must be a driver out of date, but I cant figure out which one, they all seem to be the most recent versions.

Have the Error Code ATTEMPTED EXECUTE OF NO EXECUTE MEMORY

IRQL_NOT_GREATER_OR_EQUAL

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

TIMER_OR_DPC_INVALID

Things like these ones.

 

Please try to update your BIOS
Your BIOS dates 2013, checking under 'Others' (no Windows 10 updates), version 1704 of 2015/06/26 is available.

Please consider a clean install of Windows 10, even though nothing is installed an upgrade is an OS above an already existing OS.
Because an OS above an OS is installed a folder called Windows.Old is created, due to this way of upgrading bugs may occur that causes instability.

I installed the newest BIOS, when i was trying to install a clean windows 10, I actually got the kmode exception BSOD while in the beginning of the installation set up.

I tried several times to even get through the Windows 10 clean installation from Flash drive and it doesnt get through it.

However, Windows 7 goes through clean with no problem. Could it be that the ASUS Motherboard is just that incompatible with Windows 10 at this time?

 

That is certainly possible yes, as I mentioned there are no Windows 10 driver updates for your motherboard.
