Know how to get useless stuff out of Open With menus?

My frequently used Open With context menus for various graphics files contain LO Draw, Paint, and Snipe & Stretch, and I can't seem to get rid of them. In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.png, for instance, I only find the two programs I want, and Paint and PickerHost.exe. I can delete Paint, but it's back after the next reboot. As for PickerHost.exe, I have no idea what it's doing there, and I wonder whether it's safe to delete it. Anybody know? (I'm just trying to get rid of yet another annoyance.) Pro 21H1

    :)

Shortcut key for "My Stuff" ?

Using Windows 10, here's the steps I'm taking to search for files on the computer:

    • Click Start Menu (or tap the Windows key on the keyboard)
    • Start typing a search term
    • Click "My Stuff"
    • When it finds your file, click it to make the file open
    • If you want to open File Explorer and peruse similar files without opening files:
      • After clicking "My Stuff" (in Step 3) go to the bottom area under "Other places to look" and click "File Explorer"
      • File Explorer opens

Question: I don't want to use the mouse to click "My Stuff" in step 3. Is there a shortcut key?

Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

@mngerhold, there is more involved. You have the

    OpenWithProgIDs

which contains a HASH value and a ProgID which feeds back into the OpenWithProgIDs stem of the tree.
I don't know how the HASH value is generateed or what it is generated from but I think it's important.
