Windows 10: Kodi playing files on Wrong computer or is it me

Hi folks

Installed Kodi on (remote) computer 1 with the Web interface enabled --OK and plays local files if I'm logged on to that machine.

On Computer 2 (local computer) I logon in via browser to the kodi web interface which is ipaddr of computer 1 :8080 -- I'm testing via local LAN on 2 different physical machines

Computer 1 plays the files but I want to play them on COMPUTER 2 !!!!!!
I'm sure I've hosed something up here but I can't see what I'm doing wrong.

File content is being played on the wrong computer.

Any ideas --shouldn't be that difficult to watch / stream (legal) content from a remote machine. I don't want all the B/S of VPN's etc --KODI's web interface in theory should do it perfectly.

kodi file opens up every time i start up my computer

With regard to your query about pop up programs during startup, we suggest that you follow these steps below to disable startup programs.

• Press Windows + X keys.
• Select Task Manager.
• Click on the Startup Tab.
• Look for the kodi file or application, then select Enable or
  Disable.

To further isolate the issue, please clarify the following:

• What antivirus are you using with your computer?
• Have you tried downloading the Kodi app directly from that developer's website?
• Did you experience the same issue with other applications?

The antivirus is Marlwarebytes premium. Downloaded from Microsoft app store. Nothing on other apps. it was a firewall message from Microsoft.
