Windows 10: ks.sys BSOD when connecting intergrated webcam for Dell SP2208WFP

Hi all,


Everytime I plug in my webcam for my monitor (dell SP2208WFP) I am getting
a BSOD with the error above. I am not sure which part is causing the BSOD
because this monitor has a builtin webcam + mic and 4x usb ports.


I've downloaded the latest driver for this device and installed it =, but
the problem isn't fixed when this is done. As soon as I plugin the webcam
the computer crashes and has to restart:

I've read some posts on disabling some drivers in order to work around the
problem, I don't know exactly what I need to disable. I'm also not finding
the webcam in "Imaging devices", not sure where it is in the device
manager.


Any help appreciated.

I think you have completely fixed my repeated BSOD issues. I was having the issue whenever windows update insisted on installing the driver for my (dell SP2208WFP) webcam. I have a Logitech webcam so I disabled the dell webcam and disabled windows automatically
updating drivers. My OCD takes care of my drivers It may be to early to tell but I just may have a stable system now, thank you very much.

Sollution for most webcam usb issues.

Road to succes

1. download software monitor Dell:

Dell 2208WFP Monitor Driver | Dell Deutschland

2. Go to safe mode



3. Install software monitor untill progress bar is 100 % finished.

4. Start up in normal mode as it was before and cancel the announcement

"camera configuration managment windows 10."or you get the Blue screen!!!

5. Go to device manager



6. Now go to the divice Monitor Webcam (SP2208WFP)

7. Right click on it and choose to update drivers.

8. Choose to search drivers on PC.

9. Choose to pick from a list.

10. Choose the USB video driver and NOT the Monitor Webcam (SP2208WFP) driver.

11. Done and now restart PC and choose OK if the announcement

"camera configuration managment windows 10 appears. No Blue screen anymore.
