Windows 10: KVM Unit's Trackpad Stops Working After Period of Time

Setup: - KVM unit connected via USB to machine. - KVM unit powered via separate power supply from machine. Morning, I have an issue with the trackpad on my KVM unit not working after a period of time. On initial start-up of the machine the KVM unit is fully operational, after a period of time the trackpad stops working although the keyboard is still functional. The current fix is to cycle the separate power supply to the KVM unit. I've been told by the supplier that this sounds like a setting on my machine, has anyone come across this issue before? Keyboard and trackpad stopped working since windows 10 update

Since December's update both my mouse and trackpad have stopped working. The keyboard was sticky to begin with but within a few days several keys have completely stopped working. Now the trackpad has completely stopped.

I have tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting as suggested on on another site.

Any ideas?

 

KVM NOT WORKING AFTER INSTALLING BUILD 14361 160603-1700

Just installed Windows 10 build 14361-160603-1700 and KVM stopped working with USB mouse and keyboard on 1 non fast ring system, 1 32 bit fastring system and 1 64 bit fast ring system. This is the third time a Windows 10 upgrade has caused the KVM to
stop functioning. There are no drivers for the TK-407K Trendnet KVM according to Trendnet tech support. It looks like Microsoft is just figuring the problem will go away sometime. Resetting the devices every time is not a responsible answer. Are there
any suggestions other than removing all of the usb drivers and allowing the system to reinstall.

 

KVM not working after windows update

After having the same problems, started months ago, I recently found a string that referenced some tech called:

• DDM (Dynamic Device Mapping) Technology for USB reliability and immediate device recognition when switching

Apparently, Microsoft implemented something that has to do with refreshing connected devices or something (sorry, read this a few days ago).

So, not sure yet if the KVM's no longer working is related, but I've had all my Windows 10's stop working on my IOGear MiniView PRO (gcs1108 I believe). I couldn't find anything referencing DDM on the IOGear, but at the price I'd expected it to always work.

Anyways I've ordered a ConnectPRO UD-18+, 8-Port USB/DVI KVM Switch. It's details reference this technology and so I've got my fingers crossed.
