    Lag Spikes As Soon As Laptop Starts Charging


    My HP Laptop experiences lag spikes whenever I try to use it while it is charging. I have tried fixing power settings, but that didn't work. My CPU usage spikes to 100% every few seconds, and I have scoured the internet and not been able to fix this. Keep in mind, this happens only when the computer is CHARGING, not just plugged in. If it is at 100% and plugged in, it runs fine. But as soon as it is charging as well as running, this problems starts. Please help me fix this and this is extremely annoying and inconvenient. Thanks!!

    Hi,

    We would like to know more about your lag issue:

    • What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
    • Does the lag occur in a particular game?

    In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Control Panel.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • On the left pane, click on View All.
    • Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

    Lag spikes reaching 3000+ ping only on this laptop

    I'm having huge lag spikes every 10-20 seconds only on my laptop, its affecting zoom meetings and games, it is really annoying.

    I tested it on my phone with zoom on the same network and there were no lag spikes on it.

    It's been happening for a week now and I do not know why, and I would really appreciate help.
