Windows 10: Lag When I Put A Application On Top Of A Fullscreen Game

So when I play a game its called fall guys and i play it on Fullscreen It Is great quality And I run a stat tracker in the background when i play it its still great quality but when i pit the overlay feature on. the fps goes really down. so if anyone could hep with that it would mean SOOOOO Much appreciated Thank you! Can Fullscreen optimization cause input lag?

I've heard some games like Overwatch and CSGO can have some lag input when fullscreen optimization is enabled. Can you tell me what Fullscreen optimization actually does?

 

Games lag in fullscreen

Hello,

I use Windows 8.1 Pro. When I want to play a game in fullscreen, I have a lot of framedrops and lags. If I run in it outside the full screen(in windowed mode) it will run smoothly, without lag.

Things that I tried:

Update all drivers from Windows Update and Driver Booster

sfc /scannow

All updates, .net Frameworks, Visual C++, nothing worked.

Any help?
