Windows 10: Lag when playing games

Hello!I recently bought myself a new laptop, and redownloaded some of the games on my old laptop - one of them being Stardew Valley. However, when I downloaded the game I quickly discovered a weird bug. When my game is in small screen mode, it works fine, but when I make the window larger, the game doesn't take input from my keyboard / mouse immediately, instead waiting about a second for it to process. It's annoying and also means a lot of my coordination is off. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the game in case it was a corrupted downloaded but it hasn't fixed itself.Any ideas?

Random lag spikes
