Windows 10: Lagging problems

I can tell you that I'm very frustrated with my computer right now. I only purchased it four months ago and since the day I brought it home I've been having issues. The latest issue is that everything is lagging and taking up an ungodly amount of RAM. I installed more physical RAM and that did nothing. I've done the clean boot, I've turned off and on my firewall and VPN connections, I've turned off background processes that might be interfering with what I'm doing, I've run virus and malware scans as well as doing the disc check and cleanup and defragmeting. Random lag spikes

Hi,

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

COD4 Lag Problem

Hey got a problem... System I use for COD4 is on the right...

Anyways. I'll be playing away in COD4 and when I or any other player (including enemies) calls in an air strike, the frames drops right down and I lag out, even on my own server... Ping rises as well when this happens which shouldn't be happening in a server hosted by my PC...

Suggestions?
