Windows 10: Laggy, no internet after reinstalling

    Laggy, no internet after reinstalling


    Hi,

    I reinstalled my windows via the media share tool. The reinstalled windows is taking long to open programs, windows search tool tool doesn't work and I have no internet connection. I tried to run troubleshooter to fix internet connection but it takes forever. Note that I installed windows without updates and drivers because I thought I would just install them later. When I open task manager I don't see anything taking a lot of power, the computer is not even warm. When I try to run some 3D program it goes completely fine. I just want to somehow get my internet connection back to install updates and drivers. Please help

    Reinstallation of Internet explorer in Windows 10

    Hi Rick,

    I would like to inform that the Internet Explorer might be disabled from Windows Features. I suggest you to enable Internet Explorer by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
    • Click on Programs and Features.
    • In the left pane, click on Turn Windows features on or off.
    • From the list locate and check the box for Internet Explorer 11.
    • Click on OK.
    • Restart the system and check.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    Try the following steps:

    I would suggest you to run Internet Connectivity troubleshooter:





    Try the following steps:


    • Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.

    • Click “View All”

    • Select "Internet Explorer connection"

    • Click next to run the troubleshooter.
