Lan cable is not recognized but directly at the router already?

The lan cable on my laptop is no longer recognized. But only in my room. If I connect it directly to the router via LAN it works smoothly. Operating system is Win 10.

    Router is a Fritzbox.

Slow lan internet through the walls but fast directly connected to router

    Hello,

I have problem with LAN internet. For many years in one my room LAN internet worked perfectly and it was connected with LAN cable first from router to internet jack on wall or whatever you call it and then through wall to another room where is also from
that jack to PC but few days ago it started working slow, didn't do anything on second PC. Then I connected direct LAN cable from router to PC in second room and it worked perfectly. Why is slow internet speed via LAN trough the walls and fast directly connected?
It's fresh Windows 7 on PC in second room, if you need some more infos ask please.

    Thank you,

    Milan

  3. Ethernet cable not working.

You need to solve your problem one step at a time, e.g. like so:

    • Connect your CAT5 cable directly to your router. If it does not work, replace the cable.
    • Connect the cable to your TP-Link wall plug. If it does not work, reconfigure or replace the wall plug.
