The device or resource (LAPTOP-PC) is not set up to accept connections on port "The File and printer sharing (SMB)".
    Contact your network administrator
    Completed
The computer or device you are trying to reach is available, but it doesn’t support what you’re trying to do. This might be a configuration issue or a limitation of the device.

I have tried many different configurations to get my laptop to see my desktop pc. My desktop pc can see my laptop and until I reset the adapter on my laptop, I could access files on my laptop but now I get the message above.

Before I reset the adapter, I could manually map a network drive but no matter how many ways I setup permissions, I could not access desktop pc files.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Bill

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

LAN Connectivity between Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Home both OS 1803

Upgrading to Windows 10 from windows 7 and losing internet connection

When trying to search for a driver on that motherboard, it doesn't say Windows 10 on it. My suggestion would be to get a NIC card of some sort that is known to work with the OS (most).
