Sometimes it's just your internet provider and speed goes back to normal after a while. Check with other people who use the same provider to see if they have the same problem. If you do any torrent downloading it will "hog" bandwidth as well. Just to make sure you're protected run your anti-virus in case you picked up a bug of some kind.
    Good luck'

    Hi,

All's returns OK since yesterday tonight......Why ??? I changed nothing......
I think that the issue does not come from my internet provider because the connection remains always good with my laptop and Windows 7....

LAN/Ethernet problem (DNS Client Events 1014,Realtek/Clean W10 install

Internet connections are not always perfect and can experience dropouts now and then. They are usually short lived though and sometimes you just have to "grin and bear it".
I'm glad all is OK now and happy surfing!

  6. So I registered for this forum to be able to post the same problem it seems a few other people have been having with the internet randomly cutting out. I have tried every fix in this thread, as well as had my ISP out twice to check all lines, router, connections and everything is fine. My wired connection just drops off randomly for 5-10mins. I current am using Windows 10 x64 Pro with Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller driver date 7/3/2015 version 10.2.703.2015 and I have also tried all the other drives that have been posted, turned off Green Ethernet and Energy efficient Ethernet. I am still having this problem, is there any other ways to fix this? I would rather not have to go out and spend money on a Ethernet adapter if there is some sort of work around to make this one work at all.

Dude, thanks. I spent almost two days trying to figure out this problem. Only when I stumbled across your post on this forum was my problem solved. 24 hours now with no network outage. FedeMcSoul must have another issue since his went out after 45 min.

I'm going to spread this news around. Lots of people are experiencing major frustration.

LAN/Ethernet problem (DNS Client Events 1014,Realtek/Clean W10 install

I had problems with win 10 64 bit and my onboard lan interface. This solved the problem.

run cmd in admin mode and enter ( you can do this via task manager, file, new task tick admin privileges)

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled enter

you can also try =restricted or highlyrestricted as option for best results.

the default is normal which causes errors on realtek lan cards. Even using latest Realtek v10 win 10 driver

After upgrading from W8 to W10 and then doing clean install of W10 my Ethernet connection is randomly popping alerts and losing connection (event viewer reports this as event 1014), card also is randomly being reset.
troubleshooting just resets Ethernet card (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller) saying there was an issue with DNS.
    I've never used Cisco VPN
Issue did not occurred on W8.1
Tried both drivers (Windows 10 update and Realtek for win8.1 using both compatibility and normal install)

    Wi-fi has no issues.[/QUOTE]

I tried everything. Before win 10 it was just fine. After win 10 upgrade from win 7, the adapter quit working.
I tried every fix and some worked temporarily but would later stop working.
My fix: Replaced the network cable. The old one had a small (and I mean small) pinch in the wires.
I found this by running the Realtek Ethernet diagnostic utility program (downloaded from their site - listed as "Windows Diagnostic Program for Win10").
Pick your GBE adapter from the list and then click on cable. It will show the pairs of the cable. Mine showed 2 had a short. I could move the wire around the pinched area and it would work if I got it just right.
Try the diagnostic program or just try and change the Ethernet cable - it worked for me!!!
