Windows 10: LAN Upload speed suddenly extremly low

Hi All,


My upload speed suddenly seems to be limited to 355KB/s wich by the way seems to be some magic number, if you google it, it get's mentioned in many speed related issues

I first noticed it while uploading a file to a NAS I'm working on. Yesterday it uploaded at about 60/70 MB/s and today I'm stuck at 355KB/s.

This is on my win 10 laptop.

I have an older win 7 laptop which doesn't seem te have the problem.


I don know if it has anything to do with this but you never know:

This morning my windows 10 told me it wasn't activated.... strange because it has been activated almost 2 years ago. So I went to settings and there it also showd a "not activated" warning. There was an activate button once clicked i got a popup that told me to reboot. I rebooted and windows was activated again.


What i've tried so far that didn't change anything:

- Use other cables

- Connect laptop to NAS directly without any switch

- Use wifi

- Updated network driver

- Uninstall last update

- Reboot

- Tried uloading file via web browser to esxi just as slow

- Disable autotuning

- Turn off RDC

- Disable Large send offload


I'm Lost!! Yesterday all was fine, today my max transfer speed seems to be 355KB/s so roughly 3 Mb/s


My laptop is an EliteBook 850 G5

Windows 10 on desktop slow Lan speed on upload

Hi, I am dealing with a really strange situation here. My desktop is a Window 10 Ultimate 64 system with 32Gb RAM. I recently upgraded my internet plan from 5 to 100Mbps. I firstly checked my laptop speed on speedtest.net on LAN and I got 96Mbps download
and 9,6Mbps upload which is almost perfect. I then plug the same ethernet cable to my desktop and the speed was 30Mbps download and 1Mbps upload. I assumed that it was the network card so I sent it for a check. They got 96Mbps download nad 9,6Mbps upload (in
their space with the same internet provider plan at 100Mbps), excactly as my laptop's speed. They add a new PCI network card and test it again. The same high speed. Great. Coming back at home, I connect everything and the speed was 40Mbps download and 1,3Mbps
upload, just a little better than before. Try the laptop speed again, 96 and 9,6 again, superb. I searched for hours the web and after many suggestions I managed to reach 89Mbps download which is almost what I need but the upload is stack at 1,5Mbps which
makes no sence. Any advice on that? My internet provider has no clue, neither the service team that changed the network card. Thanks.

There are possible reasons why you have a low upload speed while download speed is high. For us to isolate the issue, please provide the following information:

• When does the issue start?
• Is your Windows 10 recently perform a Windows update?
• Did you download any third part driver that runs with your Network properties?
