Windows 10: Langauge override with Powershell not Working

Hello! I am trying to make an automating script to configure a set of PC:s one of the settings im trying to automate is

override Language, both UI and Input but nothing happens when i enter the cmd-lets in PS i use:


Set-WinUILanguageOverride en-US but nothing happens, i don't get an error message in PS and the setting does not change

Exactly the same with Set-WinDefaultInputMethodOverride.


I read about a bug in 1803 but i dont think it's related,

tried using a PA account and running PS as Admin


Please help

PowerShell instead of Commandline in Creators Update

Interestingly enough my personal laptop just got the update...and still has Command Prompt listed, not PowerShell...

Edit: Not that it matters...I use both regularly. *Toast :toast:

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

PowerShell randomly poping-up in tool bar

Just to verify, do you have any scheduled tasks that uses Powershell? Scheduled tasks makes Powershell window appear periodically on your computer, therefore we suggest that you check the Task Scheduler. Here are the steps:

• Click on Start.
• In the search bar, type Task Scheduler and click on
  
  Task Scheduler in the results.
• Under Active Tasks, check for any tasks that use Powershell and the scheduled time.

If the issue still persist, we suggest that you run a Windows Defender scan to see if it will pick up any malware that the first scan missed.
