Windows 10: Language bar not appearing in Windows 11

Hi everyone,For my job I must type in multiple alphabets and today I realized that the language bar is no longer appearing in the taskbar, because of a long break for my job this may have going on for quite some time. I've tried lots of troubleshooting solutions including editing the registry and nothing seems to work. The weird thing is that the option under "language bar options" to have the language bar located in the taskbar is grayed out and impossible to select I'll try to attach a picture but it's been finicky about letting me. I cant even get a floating language bar to appear. Also

Extra language bar appearing in taskbar

I often switch between languages while typing, so I always set the language bar to be visible and floating on the desktop. This makes it more convenient to change language options while working, and saves space on the taskbar. But recently an extra language bar has appeared in the taskbar:




This wastes space on the taskbar. I would rather use that space to display other things. I only want the floating language bar, but I can't find settings anywhere to remove the taskbar langage display.
If I minimize the floating language bar, I end up with both language bars on the taskbar:


Any suggestions?

This is Windows 10 64-bit. I just installed Cumulative Update 1803, but this problem has existed for at least a few weeks.

 

Language bar shows keyboard layout not defined in language settings

Hi John thank you for the suggestion. I followed the steps and the United States-International layout disappears from the language bar until I restart the system. It is back on the list next time I start Windows.

Is there any other configuration that could be setting this layout?

 

Changing Language of Widgets bar in windows 11

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the make and model number of your PC?
  
• What is the Version and Build of Windows 11 installed on the tablet? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• Is your PC running on a single language operating system?
  

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Settings (Windows + I), select Time & language from the left pane
   
2. On the right hand side, select Language & region
   
3. You may select the desired Windows display language from the dropdown menu
   
4. You may also Add a language and set it as windows display language
