Windows 10: Language settings set UK but spell check uses US

Win 10 Home. ver 1909 build 18363.476

I have language settings set to default English UK in the language section of settings - time and language.

However when I type an email in Gmail it spell checks to US language e.g. colour suggests color.

Is there another setting somewhere I have missed?

Spell checking language settings

So, I am using Mail in Windows 10. My computer is set to English UK and my keyboard to Icelandic. Every time I create a new email the language is set to English UK and it checks spelling and grammar for that language. I can change this, inside the settings
of the new email I just created (in the options tab, although Icelandic doesn't work, but that is another issue). But as I write most of my emails in Icelandic I want to change the automatically set proofing language from English UK to Icelandic. Or, as Icelandic
does not work, I want to change the settings from spell checking all new emails to spell check no emails. But I can't find that option. I don't want to change the language of my computer though.

Any suggestions? Am I missing something?

No spelling check in aditional language
