Windows 10: Lapotop not taking Headset input

So I have an acer predator helios 300, It seems to not work with any wire headset I get. I hear people fine and can hear clearly. But when it comes to me talking in game the input is taking the computers mic and not my headset. It doesn't show my headset in audio settings. So I'm not really sure what to do. Anyone know how to fix this?

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

I'm considering some of the suggestions, but I'm still curious about the ABS AZ1 headset.

Is it good for the price, or does it pale in comparison to the others?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
