    Laptop Barely Responding


    My laptop is acting odd. It suddenly started taking forever to start and once it does start and I log in, I can only open my browser, task manager Only through ctr alt del, and cmd Only through task manager. the wallpaper screen and taskbar occasionally flashes black, as if it's loading something but can't. no other programs do that, they stay perfectly fine while they flash black. I have sfc running right now but I'd like to know what's possibly wrong with it and what I can possibly do if sfc doesn't fix it.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
