Windows 10: Laptop black screen, only boots for 3 seconds and keyboard lights on

Hi!This morning my Huawei MateBook X Pro instantly shut off without any error message. I managed to restart it and opened the Event Viewer, but the computer then froze, not allowing me to use the mouse, any shortcuts or even toggle the Fn or Caps Lock keys. I restarted it again and the same thing happened.Since then I have not been able to start my laptop. It boots for a few seconds, but then the laptop sounds and the booting I assume completely stop and the screen remains black. The keyboard backlightning however stays on, so the laptop doesn't shut down entirely. I have not been able to to

Keyboard lights

1. Did you mean the keyboard backlight or indicator lights (i.e. Num Lock)?
2. If your problem is about indicator lights, are you using a external keyboard?

--KEYBOARD BACKLIGHT--

Consult your laptop's manual downloaded from the internet. You might want to install some drivers in order to use the backlight.

--INDICATOR LIGHT--

1. LAPTOP KEYBOARD
   • If indicator light, try pressing the Caps Lock key and see if the caps lock light turned on. Same process for Scroll and Num lock.
   • Some laptops may show the "Caps Lock ON" in your laptop screen.
2. EXTERNAL KEYBOARD (EITHER USB OR BLUETOOTH)
   • When you use the external keyboard, locate the "Caps Lock" key indicator light. Try pressing the "Caps Lock" and make sure if it is turned on. Same process for Scroll and Num Lock.

If these are not working, try installing or updating the drivers. You'll need to restart after installing.

 

Toshiba Laptop Black Screen

I have a Toshiba Laptop, Was reinstalling windows 7 on it last night left it doing the updates then shut it down. Turned it on this this afternoon only to find the laptop screen is Black and also there is a burning smell coming from the Fan.

I connected the Laptop to a external monitor that is fine, Can go into bios, Windows boots up fine Etc.
Just took apart the laptop earlier to check all the cables where in correctly, Checked the motherboard over for any damage, burnt bits but but found nothing. Just put it back together now but im still getting this burning smell and i still cant use the laptop screen only a external screen.

I Tried Pressing FN+F5 to switch to the laptop screen, But still black screen. Any Suggestions please ?

Lenovo 700 80QD will not boot after W10 upgrade. Keyboard lights up but screen is black

I have a Lenovo 700 80QD that was running W10 OS 10.016299.904 on 2/4/2019.

Computer has been trying and failing on installing updates for several months. It gets to the end and suddenly says restoring previous version. Computer was working on 2/4 and I went to bed while it was trying to upgrade on 2/5/2019. On 2/5 system
would not boot. I charged it and the keyboard lights up but the screen is black. I wonder if the battery could have died during the failed W10 update.

Things I have tried:

- Hit Fn 9 to make sure screen is on no change

- held power button until keyboard goes off. Pushed Novo button same result keyboard lights up black screen.

I don't have recovery usb drive. Any suggestions? I appreciate the help!!
