Windows 10: Laptop brightness doesn't increase over 30%, dims down to 10% when I try to increase it more.

Problem summary:Simply put, the brightness settings are broken. The brightness can increase and decrease normally from 0 to 30%; trying to increase it any further causes it to drop down to about 10-15% by itself. Good day,

I did not encounter any error message when increasing or reducing the brightness.

Once I bought the laptop and I got home was when I noticed it.

No, I have not made any recent changes.

It started once I got home the day I bought the laptop, that would be around the second week of September.

Just after you replied my message, I just noticed I screen went blank, restarted it several times, but was the same, until I came to the realisation that the light (brightness) was dim, then I tried increasing/ reducing the brightness, and thankful it's
working
